Our people


James graduated from UTS Sydney with a Bachelor of applied Chemistry. He spent 7-years at I.C.I and 2-years at CALTEX before becoming a project manager for a sprinkler company. He started Fire Guard Installations in 1999 and has built it up (With the support of dedicated staff) to 12- full time employees and a multitude of dedicated subcontractors. Two of his favourite sayings: ‘I am 100% responsible’ and ‘Do what you say you are going to do’.



Irene graduated from Swinburne University of Technology – Melbourne with a Bachelor of Business in 2010. She started her career in the retail industry as a Retail Assistant while she was a student and when she completed her education, she was offered to be the Assistant Store Manager. Irene has always had a strong passion in customer service industry which then leads her to her career in business GAPbuster Worldwide as a Customer Service Officer.

In 2012, Irene decided to move to Sydney for better opportunities. She started joining FGI in October 2012 to look after the reception. And after several months, she progressed to Administration Assistant, helping to transcribe inspection reports, online reports, preparing fire safety certifications.


Accounts Manager

Kristy graduated from The University of Newcastle with a Bachelor of Industrial Design in 1995. She then worked as Manager of Subway Oxford Street for 2 years before moving onto Customer Services in Cellarmaster Wines. Over her 7.5 years there she progressed to Member Services Manager, helping to manage over 100 staff. Kristy then left Cellarmaster Wines to join her future husband James in his business, Fire Guard Installations. She has been working with James and his lovely staff for the past 7 years.


Administrator – Scheduling Coordinator

With a Degree in Education, I worked as a teacher and school administrator for more than 30 years. In 2008, I was seconded to NSW Department of Asset Management to administer government building improvements to Sydney public schools. In 2012, I was hired by Fire Guard Installations and tasked with providing an efficient and professional booking and support service to all FGI clients. The mature and professional attitude of all staff – management, office and technicians – makes my employment both satisfying and worthwhile.
